Hi gang! We’re in crunch mode here – the last week of school. Need to keep it short…
Year end parties. Junk food. Sigh… 🙁
Thankful for the Vitality Pack… Check out this new video Narelle put together and just released today.
After watching the video, leave a comment below, then pop over here to give yourself the appropriate number of entries into my June raffle – just added “Watch this short video: Superfoods” as an entry option. 😉

I knew there were benefits of fruits/veg/probiotics, but I did not know exactly what they were. I also did not know there were so many benefits! I am wondering how does one work this into their diet if they have particular people in their house that aren’t super open to the taste?

Hey Crystal. Right?! SO many benefits. 🙂 Taste is always a funny issue, as each person is different in what tastes they like and don’t like. I’ve found that people who are already eating very healthily tend to love the taste of all three. Those who are more transitional often have to experiment and/or do some transitional taste maneuvers with the products. For example, when I first started using Berry Radical, I was still used to Swiss Miss hot chocolate packets. Sugar!!! BR tasted very bitter to me and I was not a fan. But I knew how good it was for me, so I started out with it adding a little stevia to sweeten it. After a month or so, I started to wean off the stevia. Now, almost two years later, I love the taste of it without sweetening it. With InLiven and Deep Green, the tastes have just grown on me over time. I do tend to mix them with juice instead of water, which helps ‘sweeten’ a little. You can also play with adding the powders to other things as you might like. For example, I sometimes mix BR with raw honey and peanut butter for a sweet little treat. And I often mix IL and DG with applesauce or yogurt for myself and/or the kids. I have a doc with other ‘recipe’ ideas – if you want it, email me and I’ll send it over to you. 🙂

Great video! I already knew a lot of this info about antioxidants and probiotics. I don’t know to much about ‘alkaline foods diet’ though … I think that as long as one is eating a real foods diet (with well-sourced ingredients), the body, if otherwise healthy, can optimize the ph levels, etc. I plan to write a post about the alkaline diet theory though, so I will be reading about it in-depth. I’ll share what I learn!

Hey Heba, yes I tend to agree. I look forward to your post about the alkaline diet – your posts are always so well researched and written. I don’t think Narelle is a proponent of any ‘diet’ so much as getting balance and variety. And in general, with rare exception, it seems that leafy greens are always good for so many things, not just maintaining pH levels.
