Hi everyone! This is a very quick post to announce that the long-awaited, new Miessence website is up and running – and working beautifully. I placed an order today, and it was so easy to use.
I think most of the minor goofs (little typos, etc.) are worked out, but you never know where one little glitch could have been missed. Miessence is a family owned and operated company, so they need the help of their extended family (all of us – reps, customers, and general fans) to spot the blips. (New to Miessence? Wow, just happened to get on and see your facebook post about this. So many products to like: the foundation, deodorant, toothpaste, blush… where to begin? 🙂
Just saw the questions, so here’s my answer: What impresses me most about Miessence is definitely the company’s commitment to being non-toxic. Since I started the GAPS diet in late April, I need to be really careful what I introduce into or onto my body… and I think that’s how I “stumbled” across your blog (maybe via “My Life in a Pyramid” or another blog like that).
Thanks, Randa. Yes, it’s SO important to use truly natural products. The Breast Cancer Fund has been saying this for a while now, and more people are catching on. The challenge is finding truly natural, truly organic products. Even the ‘natural’ ones can use all sorts of chemicals in their growing and/or processing in the lab. But a truly organic product is so beneficial for both our health and the planet. That’s why I loved Miessence. 🙂 And yes, there are so many products to like. We use all those you mentioned and more. 🙂 Love them. 🙂
Cool giveaway! I love the new website 🙂 It’s a very clean setup and though I haven’t actually checked out yet, I added stuff to the cart, and it’s very intuitive how to use it. One thing I would suggest is trying to make the ‘add to cart’ blue buttons under each product a little bigger, so they don’t look like they’re chopped off from the bottom. I tried to look for any other glitches, but didn’t find any! The only other (optional) thing I would suggest is slightly increasing the size of the font on most of the pages – for some reason (and maybe it’s just my browser – Chrome) the font is pretty small and looks a little choppy. Increasing the size or making sure the color is black (not gray) might help.
As for what impresses me about Miessence – well, I really value companies that have a social and environmental mission. In fact, I try my best to *only* support companies that respect health and the environment. So I truly appreciate what Miessence brings to the table in a world of cosmetics where the actual ‘make up’ of the creams, lotions and makeup is as natural as can be without compromising the quality/performance! I’ve tried many of the Miessence products, and really like the results I get when I use them! I would love to restock my natural cosmetics – especially the foundation and blush powder – if I win any gift certificates 🙂 Thanks for the opportunity!

So much easier to navigate! This new site is much easier to use. I would love to try samples. I am intrigued with the lemon toothpaste. I’m not a minty kind of girl.
Hi Molly, thanks for your feedback. The lemon toothpaste is yummy – once you get used to the bicarb soda taste that comes with all three flavors. I’ll be honest, it did take me aback a bit at first, but I had still been using ‘normal’ toothpaste when I switched, so not having the chemical sweeteners and such took some getting used to. Now, however, I love the toothpastes and ‘normal’ toothpastes taste gross to me. 🙂 If you’d like some samples, send me a private message, or give me a call. 🙂

Thanks, Lisa. The deodorant is one of my favorites too! I had a bit of the detox reaction for a week or two (since I switched from an antiperspirant), but it cleared up and has been great ever since. I have been meaning to tell you, I AM IN LOVE!! I’m just amazed by the products I have gotten, I’m so excited!! I The tooth paste…. I have never had such fresh breath after brushing my teeth! The body wash….. It is just amazing how incredible it makes the skin feel, and clean too!! The deodorant feels amazing and smells amazing!! And by far the most exciting product is the lip balm!! I am addicted to chapstick, and the only kind I can use without breaking out is petroleum based and I have been in search of something without so much beeswax. I can’t stand the feel of beeswax and it irritates my lips. The jaffa lip balm is a dream come true, no petroleum, very small amount of beeswax, and USDA certified!! I don’t have to use so much throughout the day because it actually moisturizes and penetrates the lips.. I can’t wait to get more products!!
And the website is pretty awesome too, I love the new video’s about miessence.

I tried Miessence awhile ago and keep telling myself to sign up to be a rep
and order more products!!! Times are tough for me now but I really love the producet and want to get onboard relatively soon. I’ll check out the new website and get a feel of it.

Hi Debbie! Thanks for your comment. Yes, the products really are great in SO many ways.
The value is great too, when you factor in things like price per ounce, the net impact on human health and the planet, and even how they compare to other toxin-loaded products on the market whether super cheap or ritzy-glitzy high end lines. They are a great mid-range price point, but the overall value is off the charts.
And opening a Rep account is a great way to save on the products. In fact, because times are tough for lots of people right now, the fact that Miessence offers an option to get a greater discount (20-40%) and potentially even get free monthly products after referring 3 other people to the company, is a HUGE perk that traditional retail scenarios cannot offer.
I heard a statistic recently that the average household spending on personal care and nutritional products is between $600-$1000 per year. Even if someone doesn’t want to develop a business income as a Rep, just being able to possibly save $600-$1000 per year by getting free products is a great benefit.
And of course, for those who ARE looking for meaningful work to create an income, this is a great option too. 🙂
